The only thing more devastating than losing a child is having your parental rights trampled on and losing a child. As a survivor of Intimate Partner Violence my biggest disadvantage with navigating the family court system was my socioeconomic status. Armed with a court ordered child custody agreement, I somehow was alienated away from my son and was cut out of his life. My story will shock you and will cause you to examine how unchecked judicial practice can impact your relationships with your children and possibly cause you to lose them.
